I am fully insured and qualified, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have also completed a Level 2 qualification from the Association of Psychological Therapies in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
In addition to my Private Practice, I work as a volunteer counsellor for Off the Record Counselling in Norwich. I completed my student placement at Norfolk & Waveney Mind and continued to work there as a volunteer counsellor for a total of 2.5 years. I was previously employed by the NHS as part of the Norfolk Healthy Child Programme. I worked with Children and Young People aged 5 – 18 and their families as a Resilience and Emotional Health Practitioner, for almost 4 years. I also worked part time as a counsellor within a hospice setting.
I am also a Qualified Primary Teacher, and taught for 15 years in schools in the Norfolk and Suffolk area. I also have work experience in the heritage industry, educational resources sector, construction industry, retail/hospitality and charity sector, working for both local and national charitable organisations. I believe this diversity of experience and taking on a new career direction in midlife enables me to connect with people from a variety of different backgrounds and with diverse experiences. I have a background which includes work around family relationships. I have also worked with a lot of clients who have chronic health conditions.
Outside of work I enjoy walking in the local area, time with my cat, crafting and spending time with others.

I offer a free initial discussion over the phone first about why you are seeking counselling and your aims/goals from therapy.
